My original image is the Harbour Bridge, it's one of Australia's famous icons. I tried rearranging the original image to get interesting shapes, i don't really like any of them, but if i had to choose i think solution 2 is my favourite, as it can kind of look like a flower or plant as well.

Week 1

image: http://www.stressworks.com.au/web_images/wr_Golden%20Circle1_1.jpg

1. Golden Circle has used a two rounded abstract shapes. The bottom shape is a line (or dash) that looks like it represents the land, while the top shape is a rounded square type shape representing the sky, between the middle of these two shapes is a glow of yellow acting as the sun.

2. The company has only used 3 colours; red, which is the dominate colour as well as yellow and green.

3. As a whole the three colours used mock the colours of the landscape with the green line at the bottom resembling grass, the yellow glow represents the sun which incorporates the name of the company “goldern circle” and then the red which domaintes the logo making it stand out and catch the customers eye.

4. The type the company has used is a lower case, san serif. The particular font used is quite rounded which incorporates and combines the name of the company as well as the shapes they have used in the logo. By doing this I think the company wants to say that their brand is modern, safe and simple. With the white text against the red background it makes the text stand out also suggesting that its clean and pure.
